Installed Capacity of Indian Wind Power Upto November 2024

As per the information provided by Ministry of New & Renewable Energy (MNRE), Government of India, installed capacity of wind power projects in India has reached to 47959.13 MW as on 30th November 2024. This means during the FY 2024-25, an aggregate capacity of 2072.62 MW has been added from 1st April 2024 to 30th November 2024.

Odisha Government Sanctions Rs 13.86 billion Renewable Energy Projects

It is learnt that the Odisha government has approved seven renewable energy projects with a combined investment of Rs 13.86 billion, aimed at bolstering the state's sustainable energy infrastructure. The projects, with a cumulative capacity of 192.41 MW, were sanctioned by the single-window committee of the energy department.

CERC Reviews Khavda Transmission Project To Bolster India's Green Energy Goals

It is learnt that The Central Electricity Regulatory Commission (CERC) has recently issued an order approving the adoption of transmission charges for a significant project aimed at evacuating renewable energy from the Khavda renewable energy zone in Gujarat. This transmission system, part of Phase-IV for a 7 GW capacity under the Build, Own, Operate, and Transfer (BOOT) model, was developed by Khavda IV-E2 Power Transmission Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Power Grid Corporation of India Limited. The project was awarded through a transparent tariff-based competitive bidding process coordinated by REC Power Development and Consultancy Limited (RECPDCL). Power Grid Corporation of India Limited emerged as the successful bidder with the lowest transmission charges.

REC Signs Mou For Renewable Energy Projects

It is learnt that the REC Limited, a Maharatna public sector unit under the Ministry of Power, signed Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) with renewable energy developers during the 4th Global Renewable Energy nvestors Meet & Expo (RE-INVEST 2024) held in Gandhinagar. The agreements will support projects spanning across solar, wind, Hydroelectric power, and battery energy storage systems, with implementation set over the next five years.

Serentica to Invest in Renewable Energy in Rajasthan

Government Eases Environmental Clearance Procedure for Solar and Wind Projects

It is learnt that the Ministry of Environment, Forests, and Climate Change (MoEFCC) has exempted solar module manufacturing units, solar power projects, wind power projects, and mini hydel power projects less than 25 MW from obtaining both Environmental Clearance (EC) and Consent to Establish (CTE).

HLE Glascoat to Procure 5.61 MW Wind-Solar Hybrid Power from CleanMax

It is learnt that the HLE Glascoat, a leading manufacturer of equipment for the chemical and pharmaceutical industries, has partnered with Clean Max Enviro Energy Solutions (CleanMax) to procure power from captive renewable energy projects. The collaboration includes a 2.31 MW solar and 3.3 MW wind project to be developed in Gujarat.

Hyundai India to Set up a Solar and Wind Energy Plant in Tamil Nadu

It is learnt that the Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) and India-based renewable energy solutions platform Fourth Partner Energy (FPEL) have teamed up for the construction of a wind park and a solar farm in the state of Tamil Nadu with a combined capacity of 118 MW.

NTPC Green Energy Signs Deal With Andhra Pradesh Govt

It is learnt that NTPC Green Energy Ltd (NGEL), a subsidiary of NTPC, has signed a joint venture (JV) agreement with the New & Renewable Energy Development Corporation of Andhra Pradesh (NREDCAP) to develop renewable energy projects. NGEL aims to expand its capacity to 60 gigawatt by 2032, which will be a combination of solar and wind.
