It is learnt that Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation (UPPCL) is seeking approval from the Uttar Pradesh Electricity Regulatory Commission (UPERC) to revise its wind power procurement plan. Initially, UPPCL intended to procure 690 MW of wind power through a long-term Power Sale Agreement (PSA) under the ISTS Tranche-XIV scheme. However, they are now seeking approval to procure only 500 MW. This revision is being done after UPPCL secured approval for the procurement of 1,280 MW of power from NHPC, with tariffs already adopted by CERC.
