As per the information provided by Ministry of New & Renewable Energy (MNRE), Government of India, installed capacity of wind power projects in India has reached to 51058.55 MW as on 30th April 2025. This means during FY 2025-26, an aggregate capacity of 1020.73 MW has been added in the month of April 2025.

ReNew Power to Build RE Facility in Andhra Pradesh
It is learnt that ReNew Power is investing to build India's largest renewable energy complex in Andhra Pradesh, marking its return after five years. The project includes a 1,800 MW solar plant, a 1,000 MW wind facility, and a 2 GWh battery storage system.
Venwind Refex Power to Invest in 5.3 MW Wind Turbine Manufacturing Facility
It is learnt that Chennai-based Refex Group’s newly incorporated company, Venwind Refex Power Ltd, intends to invest to set up manufacturing facilities for producing wind turbines with a nominal capacity of 5.3 MW.
The company, a subsidiary of the NSE-listed Refex Industries Ltd, has concluded a license agreement with Vensys Energy AG, Germany — a leading wind turbine technology owner. Vensys is a pioneer in ‘permanent magnet, medium-speed’ generator turbines.
Indus Towers Floats EOI for 100 MW Renewable Energy
It is learnt that Indus Towers has invited global expressions of interest (EoI) to supply renewable energy of a capacity ranging from 30 MW to 100 MW for its telecom sites in Andhra Pradesh, Gujarat, and Chhattisgarh under the green energy open access regulations.

Suzlon Lands 100.8 MW Wind Energy Project from Sunsure Energy
It is learnt that Suzlon has secured a 100.8 MW EPC wind power order from Sunsure Energy, marking their maiden foray into wind energy. The project is set to be executed in Maharashtra's Jath region.
Under this agreement Suzlon will supply 48 state-of-the-art S120 wind turbine generators (WTGs) with Hybrid Lattice Towers (HLT), each rated at a 2.1 MW capacity.
KP Energy Commissions 23.1 MW Wind Capacity of its Wind-Solar Hybrid Project
It is learnt that Gujarat-based wind energy company KP Energy has commissioned a 23.1 MW of wind power capacity in Bhavnagar, Gujarat. This is a part of the wind-solar hybrid power project comprising 23.1 MW wind and 25.69 MW DC solar.
